SEK is 100 percent owned by the Swedish State. The owner exerts its influence at the company’s General Meetings and through Board representation. This Board representation satisfies inter alia State requirements for proper insight into operations. The Ministry of Finance is responsible for the state's ownership.
The Board of Directors, elected at the Annual General Meeting, comprises eight members. No members of SEK’s executive management have Board positions.
The nomination process for appointment of the board of directors is handeld by the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. This process is coordinated by the Unit for Government action within the Ministry of Industry, Employment and Communications.
Chairman of the Board is Lars Linder-Aronsson.
