Owner, Board and management


SEK is wholly owned by the Swedish state. The owner exerts its influence at the company’s General Meetings and through Board representation. This Board representation satisfies state requirements for proper insight into operations. The Swedish Ministry of Finance is responsible for the state's ownership.


The Board of Directors, elected at the General Meeting, comprises eight members. No members of SEK’s executive management are members of the Board.

The nomination process for appointment of the Board of Directors is handled by the Swedish Ministry of Finance. This process is coordinated by the Swedish Ministry of Finance.

The Chairman of the Board is Lars Linder-Aronson.

The Board of Directors appoints the President who conducts ongoing management in accordance with the Board of Directors’ guidelines and instructions.
