SEK provides financing in three additional currencies

2008.09.25

SEK continues to develop its offering to the Swedish export companies and is now able to provide financing in three additional local currencies; Brazilian real, Kazakh tenge and Romanian leu.

SEK’s business area EMMA, Emerging Markets, continues to be successful in providing export companies with local currency financing. SEK is now able to aid the companies with financing in Brazilian real, Kazakh tenge and Romanian leu.

Access to local currency is an important competitive advantage for SEK’s clients, since it reduces exposure to sudden changes in foreign exchange rates and is many times a requirement in order to be able to conduct business and make investments. SEK is now offering its customers financing in a number of different currencies and is, for example, one of only a few foreign issuers who have been granted permission to issue thai baht-denominated bonds in 2008.
