As one of only a few foreign applicants, SEK has yet again been granted permission to issue baht-denominated bonds in Thailand. SEKs ability to keep providing local currency financing is an important competitive advantage for Swedish companies investing in the Thai market.
The permission lets SEK raise up to 4.0 million baht (approximately 120 million USD) and is valid until August 15, 2010. SEK has thus secured its ability to provide local currency financing in Thailand, which is imperative for Swedish companies investing in Thailand. SEK is one of only a few foreign institutions able to offer its clients Thai baht financing:
