SEK has entered into a cooperation agreement with Sparbanken Gripen aiming to jointly offer local and foreign currency funding to small and medium sized exporting enterprises.
SEK and Sparbanken Gripen will collectively provide liquidity, risk management and marketing. The cooperation will be released to Gripen’s customers in June and will also be offered to all customers in the new bank entity formed through the union of Sparbanken Gripen and Sparbanken Finn. Should Sparbanken Syd decide to join the banking entity, their customers will also be included in the agreement.
- This agreement deepens our close relationship with Sparbanken Gripen and allows SEK to offer further possibilities of long-term financing to small and medium sized enterprises. There is a significant potential of export growth within the SME-sector and attractive financial solutions are thus an important competitive advantage, says Peter Yngwe, CEO of SEK.
- We are very pleased to have extended our co-operation with SEK, and to be able to offer our corporate customers additional long-term financing with competitive terms. Furthermore, we emphasize the possibilities for small and medium sized enterprises to sell their products and services to customers outside of Sweden, says Mats Nilsson, CEO of Sparbanken Gripen.
