Why is export finance necessary?
It sounds like a simple question, but the answer is not that obvious. Financing an export transaction can be arranged in many different ways and can be seen from several different perspectives.
From the perspective of a company’s finances, it relates to how to handle the balance sheet and income statement. Should export financing be allowed to remain in the books and affect the key ratios? Or is it a question, for example, of quickly improving the company’s liquidity?
From the customer perspective, export finance can be the decisive factor in an entire deal. If it is put together correctly, the financing solution can be turned into an important competitive advantage.
We discuss this, and much more, in “SEKs lilla handbok i exportfinansiering (“SEK's little export financing handbook” which is only available in Swedish).
